Mary Leon, PA-C

Mary Leon is a certified Physician Assistant with a deep commitment to patient-centered healing and functional medicine. She brings a strong background in both surgical and clinical care, along with a passion for helping patients recover and thrive. Mary earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies through the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Interservice Physician Assistant Program, completing her training in a mix of military and civilian healthcare settings. 

Before joining Pacific Bone and Joint, Mary served as a Physician Assistant in the Coast Guard, providing care for active-duty members and their families. She is a proud Coast Guard veteran with over a decade of service, with roles ranging from engineering officer and admissions officer to healthcare provider. Her diverse background has shaped her into a well-rounded, compassionate, and highly capable clinician. Originally from Muncie, Indiana, Mary graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 2015 with a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Throughout her military career, she earned several honors, including the Army Achievement Medal and Coast Guard Commendation Medal. She also boxed competitively, winning the New England Golden Gloves and a national collegiate title in 2015. 

When she’s not in the clinic, Mary enjoys staying active—whether that’s hiking, working out, or surfing with her husband, two sons, and two dogs.
